Detroit native Lauren Pulte, who writes ”Pulte Does Politics,” came to Washington over a year ago and quickly fell in love with DC’s east coast chicness and non-stop news. After graduating from Miami University with degrees in journalism and political science, Pulte left the cornfields of rural Ohio and returned toWashington to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. She has worked for numerous media outlets and government agencies, including WCPO-TV in Cincinnati and Voice of America in Washington. Most recently, she has acted as press assistant to the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) in Georgetown. Despite economic setbacks, this international and political news junkie continues to pound the pavement -in strappy black stilettos of course- and hopes to one day work overseas as a foreign correspondent.
Pulte currently lives in Arlington, VA, where she spends her time writing, applying to jobs, and waiting for the economy to turn around
