"Glamour" debuts plus-size model photo shoot

After overwhelming positive responses came in from Glamour’s previous issue with a small photo of a “healthy weight” model, the magazine took it a step further this month by creating a full editorial of plus-size models.

The issue will hit newsstands on Tuesday. Matthias Vriens-McGrath shot models Crystal Renn, who has a well-documented history with eating disorders that plagued her life during her career as an haute couture model, Lizzie Miller, Kate Dillon, and many other curvier models. The photograph was inspired by Herb Ritts’ 1980s shot with nude supermodels of the time.
