Camping just got hotter

A Scott Brown promotional seat cushion

Ayla and Arianna Brown, Massachusetts’ Republican senator’s daughters, have created a new line of Brown-based merchandise to help promote their studly father’s rise to conservative fame. They released a collection of sit-a-thons emblazoned with the phrase “The People’s Seat,” a play on words when Brown famously pointed out that Massachusetts is not automatically Democratic just because a Kennedy held the seat previously. You can get this sassy sit-a-thon, or a Brown T-shirt, with a donation of $20 from this website.

Elton John: “Jesus was gay”

In a hypothesis not backed by any scriptural foundings, Sir Elton John told Parade that he believed “Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems.”

The bejeweled singer added, “Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don’t know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East – you’re as good as dead.”

Interestingly, Christianity is not at its highest concentration in the Middle East, where other various religions that should never be associated with terrorism tend to collect in larger numbers, and publicly stone women for various reasons that make much sense in light of 21st century ideology.

Perhaps Sir Elton John should spend more time pinpointing the reasons behind such deaths before turning the specific verses from Leviticus on their heads.

I’m mostly upset because this goes against all that research I read in The DaVinci Code.

Obamaland to install new runway–through a cemetery

Rest in peace?

The corrupt political city known as Chicago has undergone a process to remove and relocate graves from St. Johannes Cemetery in order to put in a new runway for Chicago O’Hare International Airport. A state appellate court has granted a temporary restraining order to stop the process.

The ruling comes on the heels of the City of Chicago yanking some land from St. John’s United Church of Christ for a fee of $630,000, which ended a near-decade long battle between the two entities.

Joseph Karaganis, an attorney, stated: “We said there are some very important constitutional issues that involved religious rights that the circuit court had refused to hear…It would make no sense if the cemetery was gone by the time the appellate court heard these issues.”

Random British newscaster doesn’t enjoy Christianity

Joe BidenKay Burley

Kay Burley, who is apparently a bobble head for Sky News in the UK, made a rather embarrassing remark on air after Joe Biden appeared with his Ash Wednesday cross on his forehead. The clueless Brit quipped that Biden seemed to have a large bruise. When informed of her error, Burley replied, “I’ve said three Hail Marys; everything is going to be fine.”

Burley also spoke sensitively on September 11th: “If you’re just joining us, the entire eastern seaboard of the United States has been decimated by a terrorist attack.”

She should audition for CNN. I hear they aren’t doing too well.

Snooki and JWOWW are not Italian

http://blog.muchmusic.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/snooki.jpg

So is anything real about these people besides their love for the tanning bed and flashing their snatches whenever possible? Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenny “JWOWW” Farley are actually pretty far from Italian. The diminutive self-proclaimed “guidette” Snooki is actually Chilean, while skunk stripes McGee JWOWW is Spanish and Irish.

On the plus side, we can start respecting Italians once again. At least the women.

UAH professor-murderer “obsessed” with Obama

Professor Amy Bishop, charged with capital murder in the deaths of three faculty members at the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Friday. Photo: AP

Amy Bishop, the woman accused of going on a killing spree by opening fire on six of her colleagues and killing three, has been investigated for clues leading up to the tragic incident. Upon interrorgations, it has been determined that Bishop is a socially awkward oddball, bitter at her tenure denial at the University of Alabama-Huntsville.

One thing about which we haven’t heard much? Bishop’s extreme left-wing politics, which, according to colleagues’ interviews, were at times so dramatic they were “off-putting.” Bishop was described as being “obsessed” with President Obama.

Now, a murderer is a murderer, regardless of political inclinations. However, where was the media attention on this fact, when it so dutifully concluded that the Holocaust Museum murderer, who was a white supremacist, was obviously “conservative?” Reporting is a two-way street. Or at least, it used to be.

Laws of Love book launch

AS COURTSHIP DECLINES, CONCERN FOR CHIVALRY IS ON THE RISE

A New Book The Laws of Love: A Guide to Gallantry, Helps Induce Gallantry

[Washington, DC] – In a time when courtship is on the decline and hedonism is on the rise, one gentleman has stood up against the tide with the power of words and seductive suggestion. Washington, DC native James Henry, an author galvanized by the decline of chivalry, announces the release of his new book, The Laws of Love: The Guide to Gallantry, with a reception and book signing on Friday, February 12th at ACKC chocolate shop and Saturday and Sunday of Valentine’s weekend (February 13th & 14th) at the newly opened The Tasting Room wine bars in Reston, VA and Friendship Heights. 10% of the profits from the book go to Henry’s charity, Operation Be Polite, a program to popularize civility and chivalry among the youth.

A contemporary manual, inspired by a 19th century French love guide, gives gallant advice on the art of courtship for today’s love-starved society.

“These days with the instant nature of news and information, few people make the time to read anything in depth, so I felt that good messages could be better conveyed with fun illustrations and humorous maxims.” Consider them “inspiration to greatness” describes Henry.

Culturally Conscious Publishing was founded by writer and filmmaker James Henry as a platform for easy-to-read books to help improve people and society. In a time when many entrepreneurs cast aside virtue in the pursuit of capital gain, the release of The Laws of Love! debunks that trend, as Henry favors honest, interesting and true ideas over insincere sophistry. The Laws of Love is the second in The Trilogy of Life. Civility was the chosen as the first topic, followed by love, and he is currently working on his third title on money.
