Two female suicide bombers killed 37 people and injured 65 on a mass transit metro in Moscow today. No group has taken responsibility for the actions, but officials are suspicious of Muslim militants from the North Caucusus, where a growing insurgence from Chechnya is butting heads with the Kremlin. Posted on an unofficial Islamist militant site was this damning comment, “‘Blood will no longer be limited to our (Caucasus) cities and towns. The war is coming to their cities.”
The bombings took place at Park Kultury and Lubyanka.
