Obama hates Apple products

Ayo technology?

Apropos of nothing, Obama used his commencement address at Hampton University, an HBC, to rail against iPads, iPods, XBoxes, and all kinds of technology that is trying to advance America:

“With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, — none of which I know how to work — information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation.”

The President then asked for a second, because the BlackBerry from which he was reading his speech started freezing.

He also added, “We can’t stop these changes… but we can adapt to them,” which does not make any sense.

Upset with the free exchange of information that has poked holes in his Utopian outlook for America via his radical changes, he also stated that, “some of the craziest claims can quickly claim traction.” Examples include his general ability to run the country, “affordable” health care with the passing of the new bill, global warming, and Scientology.

Stimulus dollars buy iPods–for parents!

It’s working!

A school in Tampa bay is utilizing some of its $350,000 in stimulus money to give out iPods to parents who filled out a survey about how to get parents involved with the school system.

Don’t worry–it was a grueling ten-minute long online survey, so these parents were really deserving of a taxpayer-funded bit of technology.

iNancy Pelosi caricature “offensive”

A conservative Hollywood-based filmmaker created what he believed to be a patriotic iPhone app that offered directory listings of every US senator and congress(wo)man serving our country. However, the app was DOA when Apple caught sight of this drawing of Nancy Pelosi, which is apparently offensive. Here is what Pelosi really looks like:

Seems favorable to me.

The directory would have contained caricatures of members of all parties, drawn by former Mad Magazine artist Tom Richmond. The politicians’ heads bobbled on the screen for added effect.
