XOXO, GOP

Barack Obama is featured in a GOP Valentine.

In order to keep the momentum going during the midterm year of 2010, the GOP has released a few snarky Valentine’s Day cards. These holiday greetings feature Dem hotties like Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Al Gore, Napolitano, ACORN, and even the Salahis.

Also written in the card? “Pass along a special message from Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi that they didn’t craft this Valentine’s card behind closed doors like they did with their government-run health care experiment.”

Joe Biden and the Salahis are featured in a Valentine card.

Reid votes against his own bill

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/.a/6a00d8341c630a53ef0120a67983f9970c-450wi

This man should definitely be penning sweeping legislation. During a rushed vote on his ridiculous healthcare bill, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid voted “no” before realizing his error and saying “aye.”

Rodell Mollineau, Reid’s staff assistant, stated: “His bipartisan instincts got the best of him.”

Funny, we haven’t seen any of those instincts show up during the bill’s discussion.

Harry Reid should probably not open his mouth

Sensing desperation over Climategate and its impending email leak-based Armageddon, Harry Reid took to some serious name calling to blast the GOP/anyone that realizes global warming is a scam. The Senate Majority Leader compared Republicans opposing health care reform to the institution of slavery.

The Nevada Democrat also pulled out other civil rights analogies, such as women’s suffrage, since clearly those relate to political manipulations to put power in the hands of the government rather than the people.

Reid seems to have forgotten which political party stood on the side of ending slavery.

Pelosi, Reid don’t want healthcare bill posted online

Because nothing says “democracy” like ramming an undisclosed, disastrous bill through Congress in record time, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and minion Harry Reid are fighting against the growing demand that the proposed healthcare bill be posted on the Internet.

Prior to this demand, lawmakers have had just a few hours to look over the proposed $780 billion stimulus plan, “revolutionary” climate-change legislation, and $700 billion bailout.

In an effort to manage the hustling many Democrats are using to get their outrageous, ill-conceived bills through, Reps. Baird (D-Wash.) and Walden (R-Ore.) are circulating a petiton around the House that would force a vote on the Sunlight Foundation’s motion to mandate a 72 hour grace period where a bill must be posted online for citizens to see before the bill can be subjected to voting.

Pelosi and Reid: “Quick, while nobody’s looking!”

Botox McGee, (or, if you prefer, Nancy Pelosi) D-Calif, had a meeting with President Obama to tell him that she had secured the votes necessary to pass Obamacare. (Side note: why is Pelosi taking fashion cues from Hilary Clinton?)White House mouthpiece Robert Gibbs did not confirm that Obama will set a deadline for passing health care when he graces us little people with his speech tonight, but “sources” told Obama-sanctioned and completely reliable ABC News that the key word for healthcare is “urgency.”

No one’s sure where this urgency came from. Meanwhile, Obama is shoving under the carpet some other important issues, like, say, the various wars with which we’re involved, the outrageously bad economy, growing debt, what people are wearing to my party tonight, etc.

Meanwhile Harry Reid, D-Nev, is maintaining that despite horrible reception from their constituency, record low approval numbers, and not having a brain, the Democratic masterminds behind Obamacare and their refined supporters expect the legislation to pass very soon! He told reporters: “we’re going to do our very best to have a public option or something like a public option before we finish this work.”

Pelosi and Reid are looking to piggyback their fabricated momentum, and continue this race-to-the-finish approach to passing something that just may need a little more time and research to create.

The public option has worked so well in other countries. I’m sure Americans want their recession tax dollars going towards giving a pedophile Viagra and other atrocities like British dental care.
