"Walk This Way" to combine philanthropy and fashion

Becky’s Fund, a DC non-profit with international impact, will be hosting “Walk This Way,” an event that will kick off National Domestic Violence Awareness Month during October. Please join me for this first-ever over-the-pool fashion show. Tickets, which can be purchased at the Becky’s Fund website, will allow guest access to an open bar of premium drinks, delicious poolside hors d’oeuvres, and plenty of custom made fashions from Eric Finn Clothiers. It’s a great way to donate to this uplifting and inspiring cause!

Washington All-Pro Running Back Clinton Portis and Eric Finn Custom Clothiers cordially invite you to “Walk this Way” to end domestic violence with Becky’s Fund

 The Event:

Pro Bowl Redskins’ Running back Clinton Portis and Eric Finn Custom Clothiers are proud to host a modern fundraiser for Becky’s Fund, a non-profit organization which raises awareness and helps prevent domestic violence in our community.  The event will be held on the evening of Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at the Liaison Hotel. The Liaison Hotel, near the Capitol, boasts the largest roof-top pool and patio area of all of DC’s major hotels.

The evening will feature the first DC over-the-pool runway show showcasing the impeccable custom clothes of Eric Finn. Models will include Clinton Portis and other celebrated guests including former and current professional athletes. Cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres will be provided throughout the evening. The event promises to attract many of the DC area’s elite and affluent. We are seeking luxury partners to help promote and fund this exclusive affair with various sponsorship opportunities.

When: Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 6 – 10 PM

Where: The Liaison Hotel at 415 New Jersey Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20001

Why: Domestic violence currently impacts one in three women in her lifetime and can happen to anyone regardless of age, race or socioeconomic status. The mission of Becky’s Fund is to prevent domestic violence by fostering awareness, encouraging advocacy among peers, promoting activism through outreach programs and creating support for victims. This signature event will not only be an evening to remember but will benefit Becky’s Fund and continue to spread the message of respect, hope and empowerment.

Sponsorship Opportunities are available.  Please email info@beckysfund.org for more information.
