DC’S NIGHTLIFE IN THE SPOTLIGHT

New Website Provides Focused Coverage of Nightlife Events in the Nation’s Capital

Washington, D.C. – June 3, 2010 – On Thursday, June 3rd , local media producer Andrea

Hardison will officially launch DCPartyLife.com, Washington’s first cross-community

promotion and reporting website targeting the nightlife communities in DC.

The goal of DC.PARTY.LIFE is be the primary hub of information locally and eventually

nationally on DC nightlife entertainment, parties, and events. The website has been designed as

an epicenter for all things nightlife in DC including information on DJ’s, promoters, venues,

event reviews, local and national nightlife industry news, and gossip. “We cover more than just

events. We’re also covering news and developments within the community and other issues that

may affect how nightlife events are organized and promoted,” says Hardison.

DC.PARTY.LIFE is not Ms. Hardison’s first foray into nightlife promotion in Washington.

During the 2008 presidential election she launched InaugurationEvents.com, one of the first

websites in the Washington, DC metropolitan area to supply information and attendance details

on the events taking place during the week of the presidential inauguration. Visitors to

InaugurationEvents.com utilized its vast database of information to locate high-profile events

taking place and acquire ticket-purchasing information.

For DCPartyLife.com, Ms. Hardison expanded the formula that made InaugurationEvents.com

successful and has applied it to Washington’s diverse and stratified nightlife community. “When

I came to DC eight years ago there was virtually no communication happening between the

various nightlife scenes. You had to go to clubs and get on the various promoter lists to find out

about what was going on, and even then it was just limited to whatever scene they specialized in.

As someone who works and plays in multiple scenes in DC I found it very frustrating that there

wasn’t one place I could go to learn about all the nightlife events happening across the city,” says

Hardison.

DCPartyLife.com bridges the gaps between the different nightlife scenes in DC by enabling

users to quickly peruse photo galleries, get up-to-the-minute information on events taking place

across the city, and connect via Facebook and Twitter. The blog section of the website will

feature editorial pieces, news, and information on upcoming nightlife events. For promoters the

website offers the ability to showcase their events to all scenes within DC’s nightlife community

by submitting event fliers, press releases, and event photos.

The DC.PARTY.LIFE website is located at http://www.dcpartylife.com. Users are also strongly

encouraged to sign up for DC.PARTY.LIFE’s social media networks on Facebook

(Facebook.com/dcpartylife) and Twitter (Twitter.com/dcpartylife).
