Foodies and philanthropists alike gathered at the Washington Hilton for the 22nd Annual Chef’s Best Dinner and Auction, which featured the area’s best chefs and mixologists.
Proceeds benefited Food & Friends, an organization that delivers meals to people living with cancer, HIV/AIDS and other life-challenging illnesses. This year, Food & Friends will deliver more than one million meals to people in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland.
With the help of Celebrity Chef Chair John Critchley of Urbana Restaurant and Wine Bar, guests enjoyed tastings prepared by some of the region’s most talented chefs, including Anthony Lombardo, 1789 Restaurant; Jeff Tunks, District Commons; Alex Zeppos, Logan Tavern; James Huff, Pearl Dive Oyster Palace; Massimo Fabbri, Ristorante Tosca; and RJ Cooper, Rogue 24, among other notables from the DC dining scene.
A silent auction, as well as a live auction, helped the event fundraise for the worthy endeavor, with items ranging from travel to luxury experiences to private dining opportunities.
