Mike Isabella named honorary chef for the fundraiser which supports healthy babies
Arlington, VA (September 3, 2014) — The March of Dimes announced that TTR Sotheby’s International Realty’s Managing Partner, Mark Lowham has accepted the role of 2014 Signature Chefs Gala chair. The 18th Annual Signature Chefs Gala will highlight the culinary excellence of the area’s finest chefs, mixologists and vintners. Presented by Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP and TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, the premier social event will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 6:00 pm at the Ritz-Carlton Washington, D.C. Hotel.
In this role, Lowham will play an integral role in raising awareness and funds to advance the research, education and community programs at the core of the March of Dimes effort to find causes and preventions for premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. Mark Lowham is the proud parent of two children, Grace, age 8, and Alex, age 7. It is important to him to give to a cause that helps families have healthy babies and children.

Mike Isabella, chef/owner of G, Graffiato, Kapnos and Kapnos Taverna, will serve as the event’s honorary chef. In this role, Isabella will recruit chefs to participate, have a chef station at the gala and serve as a spokesperson in addition to other duties. Jo-Jo Valenzuela of DC Craft Bartenders Guild will return as the cocktail chair.
Last year, the gala drew more than 400 of Washington, D.C.’s elite philanthropists and executives. Since 1996, the event has raised more than $1 million to ensure the health of babies. Each year, the March of Dimes Maryland-National Capital Area Chapter invests in mission initiatives, including research, education and community programs. Through these efforts, the March of Dimes strives to help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.
