Hotel Sofitel Washington DC opened the doors of its newly renovated Presidential Suite to a few lucky bloggers and loyal guests last night to show off renovations in one of Downtown’s swankiest places to stay.
The Presidential Suite, the 11th floor newly-remodeled room features beautiful Jackie O’themed blue and white carpeting, spacious lounge seating, and luxurious furnishings, and comfortably accommodated 30 people. The suite would be a great bridal room as well, with its “something blue” and white color palette, large seating spaces for groups, and surfaces for catering. For the reveal evening, Sofitel’s catering team delivered an exquisite culinary experience. In keeping with the Jackie O. theme, hors d’oeuvres followed the former First Lady’s travels from New England to Paris to Greece. Guests enjoyed nibbles like lobster rolls, clam chowder, baklava, and other exotic treats while indulging in an open bar.
Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square offers exclusive luxury accommodations just steps from the White House. Travelers and Washingtonians alike can savor a contemporary twist on traditional French cuisine at ICI Urban Bistro, which Little Black Blog reviewed last year. Guests can be found relaxing in the chic lounge Le Bar while staying in one of the 237 rooms, 16 suites, or Presidential Suite of the hotel’s 12 floors. All rooms feature the Sofitel’s luxurious feathertop and duvet sleep system, SoBed, and include sumptuous decorating in theme with the hotel’s signature art de vivre.
