announces the date for its annual Of Wine & Words fundraiser to be Friday, April 24, 2015.

Of Wine & Words celebrates the region’s culinary excellence featuring the area’s top restaurants. Participating

The event will also include a live auction with such items as 6 days at the Montana Sporting Club and one

week at a Cape Code beach house. Proceeds from the auction will benefit The Reading Connections local

In its 26 years, The Reading Connection has touched the lives of 15,000 local at-risk kids and has given out

nearly 100,000 new books to those kids. In 2014, TRC read with 1,350 kids and gave them nearly 12,000 new

books. TRC’s programs span the metro D.C. area, from Bethesda, Md. to the District, to Arlington, Alexandria

In 2014, Of Wine & Words raised more than $115,000. The ticket prices for the event are $50 for TRC

The Reading Connection (TRC), founded in 1989, is celebrating its recent expansion into Maryland and over a

quarter century of sharing the magic of reading! TRC’s six literacy programs offer a suite of services to

encourage at-risk kids to spend more time reading and their families to make reading a family tradition. In fiscal

year 2014, TRC gave away nearly 12,000 books and reached more than1,350 kids.
