This year, Foulger-Pratt is partnering with a local nonprofit, Courage for Kids, to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to at-risk low-income and homeless children starting Kindergarten. Recognizing that children like to give back, too, the festival will give kids the opportunity to help children in need by purchasing a pumpkin to paint at the festival. Families will also be able to support the at-risk children by purchasing raffle tickets for prizes generously donated by Park Potomac Place businesses and partnerships – Founding Farmers, Sugo, Zoes, Elevation Burger, Emily Grace, Love Couture Bridal, Kaufman Jewelers, Wine Harvest, Butlers Orchard, Summers Farm, Bethesda Magazine, My Gym, Lifetime Fitness, Brooklyn’s Deli, Amici Miei, AcuSpa and more. Shulman Rogers and Travel Place have also contributed to support this event.

“Foulger-Pratt is proud of the work we’ve been doing in the greater Washington, DC area, and we are always looking for ways to give back and support this great community,” said Cameron Pratt, CEO of Foulger-Pratt Companies, “Education is the key which unlocks a brighter future. We are excited to partner with Courage for Kids and support rising Kindergarteners with supplies they need for school”

“We are thrilled to partner with Foulger-Pratt Companies, and are so appreciative of the generous support of all the local businesses at Park Potomac Place. We hope this event will not only raise a great deal of money to support our program, but that it will also raise awareness for the important work of our partner organizations such as Bright Beginnings, CentroNia, House of Ruth’s Playspace and Campagna Center. We hope this is the beginning of a strong partnership with Foulger-Pratt Companies. We know that with their support we can expand our initiative to other pre-K centers in the Washington, DC community.” said Andrea Rodgers, President & CEO of Courage for Kids.
